Misty roads through Appalachian mountain woods

The trip to smokies mountains to witness the '09 fall turned out to be a boon. As the evening was expected, every driver's visibility was reduced with the thick mist that surrounded. The vibrant colors of the fall blended with the deep brume. The long travel through the continuous canopy extending for miles gave a chance for great photography..

Being at the navigator's seat,I had to zoom through the max my lens would allow to avoid the frames of the glass and the affixed GPS. The gloomy light and the moving camera demanded open aperture - f/5.6. However didn't compromise with the sensitivity - ISO 200. The focus was manual with the mode - Aperture priority. It was shot raw

This pic, though not my favourite, Is loved by many.

My best shots of 2011

The year of 2011 has given me awesome memories I can cherish life long. It was a fun filled year which has proved to be absolutely great for me and my family. We went on trips more frequently and my location change from south to the northern part of US gave me a good insight into the varied culture and changing climatic conditions across the country. Manfrotto tripod, 17-40L and 70-200L got added to my camera kit this year. With the additional gears, my photography skills has been improving(I suppose) and I hope to learn lot more photography in the years to come. Based on opinions from friends and fb contacts and my own personal likes, I have put together the shots I consider the best of 2011. Please put your opinions as comments. That should help. Shot on iPhone

In the smart phone era, all of us carry along a camera. We have access to photography anytime. If we see something appealing, nothing could stop us from capturing it. We have all the processing tools right in our phones, we click and share what we love, right away. I photograph as I do my evening run. I don't miss the spectacular sunset. I photograph as I drive, I don't miss the lovely visuals the rain paints on my car windows. Photography is now easier. More than that, photography is now more frequent. It keeps one closer to the art and I can't thank technology enough. On this page of my blog, I have put together few of my favorite mobile shots. All of the pics were clicked on iPhone and processed on instagram. Let me know your feedback in the comments section. Do share the post if you like it. Thanks.
